"I am running for this seat because as School Board Treasurer I have learned about the importance of the decisions made in Lansing.  The actions of our state legislators have tremendous impact on our local governments and schools boards.

Randy Clark, current Treasurer of the South Lyon School Board, lifetime resident of the South Lyon area and Salem Township, small business owner and longtime community activist has announced his candidacy for the Michigan State House of Representatives in District 52.

Clark is currently the Treasurer of the South Lyon School Board as well as a member of the Finance and Facilities Committees. He has been a local business owner for over 30 years specializing in commercial real estate and insurance. Mr. Clark has lived in the South Lyon area and Salem Township his entire life graduating from South Lyon High as did his parents, Randy & Mary have two adult children. Clark attended Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan receiving a Business degree.

Randy has always been active in the community serving as the President of the South Lyon Housing Commission, Chairman of the Building Authority, member of the Huron Valley Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution, Lions Club, co-founder of the Community Letters to Santa Committee. He was also past Panther Youth Football Treasurer and Board Member, past President of the DDA, Area Pumpkinfest parade organizer and Co-Chair of the local Beautification Committee. He is active in local charities as well as civic groups including FAN (Families Against Narcotics) and Active Faith.
